A taxi driver accused of killing a pensioner and failing to stop at the scene has been remanded in custody.
David Evans of Tynwald Street in Douglas appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse through a live videolink from prison.
The 65 year old hasn’t yet entered pleas to charges of failing to stop after or report an accident, causing death by careless driving and committing an act against public justice.
The charges relate to the death of 73 year old Carolyn Buchan on Marathon Avenue in Douglas on March 20.
There was no bail application and Mr Evans was remanded in custody to appear in court again on June 16.
