Fundraising dad visiting Island as part of 21 city tour

Andrew Telford\'s son, AJ

£50,000 needed to fund life changing operation for fundraisers 5 year old son

The Island will be playing host to a father on a mission over the next 2 days as he endeavours to raise money and awareness to the plight of his 5 year old son.

Andrew Telford's son AJ was born with cerebral palsy, resulting in him only being able to walk with the aid of a modified zimmer frame.

Andrew is embarking on a UK wide campaign to both raise £50,000 for a life changing operation for AJ in the USA, he'll also be gathering momentum and signatures for his petition to have the operation provided for on the NHS for all children needing it.

Once the target is achieved and the operation has been carried out AJ will be able to walk unaided and partake in the same activities as the other children his age.

Whilst on his tour Andrew will be raising awareness to other children's charities, he'll be dotted about Douglas town centre tomorrow where he is encouraging the public to come and talk to him with any donations welcome.
