The BBC has announced it will pay for free TV licences for some over-75s on Island from the beginning of next year.
However, it only applies to those who qualify for income support.
The Broadcaster said it's the fairest decision for all licence fee payers.
It comes following a consultation with stakeholders on Island earlier this year.
There is an estimated 5,500 households on Island with a person aged 75 or over - the cost of a colour TV licence is currently £157.50 a year.
