Free period products bill raises cost concerns for MHKs

Questions were raised in the House of Keys this morning about the proposed free period products bill.

MHKs quizzed Douglas East MHK Joney Faragher, asking who's going to provide it and with what money.

Onchan MHK Julie Edge said we don't know the impact it'll have on our Island and the cost to the tax payer, questioning whether it's a priority piece of legislation.

Ms Faragher argued it's the same as finding no toilet paper, adding the products are essential, not luxuries.
