From this Thursday - parking after 5pm will be free in the Bottleneck, Shaw’s Brow and Chester Street car parks.
The joint initiative run by Douglas Borough Council and the Department of Infrastructure will run every Thursday up until Christmas eve.
It's a change to previous years when the council has traditionally offered free Thursday late-night parking from when the Christmas lights are switched on.
This year, though, the council says it's determined to do all it can to support retailers and make shopping local more convenient and accessible.
