Session Educates Parents on Dangers Faced By Thier Children
A series of free drug and alcohol awareness sessions aimed specifically at parents with Children going into high school will begin today.
The sessions endeavour to educate parents on the best methods of speaking to their children about drugs and warning them of the potential dangers.
They're targeted specifically at parents of children about to move into high school, as this has been identified as the period of time when the children are likely to first properly become aware of drugs.
Orla O Donaghue is the Drug and Alcohol Liason Officer, said it's important that parents know the signs and symptoms of drug use.
