Police are warning con artists are still trying to cash in on the Christmas rush by targeting unsuspecting residents.
The Officer of Cyber Security and Information Assurance (OCSIA) has reiterated it's still receiving reports from members of the public of scammers calling people up claiming to be from Amazon or a range of other companies.
As a result, the constabulary is again urging people to stick to official guidance to avoid falling victim, such as putting the phone down immediately if you receive a suspicious phonecall.
Recently the OCSIA released information on potential warning signs to look out for if you think you may be dealing with a scammer - a link to it is available here.
