A Post Office in the west of the Island has been given a four-month stay of execution - with a warning of "use it or lose it" to local residents.
Foxdale Post Office at the village filling station was due to close because of falling trade.
It's been losing money for the last three years and Ellan Vannin Fuels, which runs the site as subpostmaster, had resigned.
Now, however, the company says it'll hold off on the closure.
Ellan Vannin Fuels had said continued losses would have put the entire site at risk of closure, including the village shop and filling station.
However, after customers and Patrick commissioners contacted the company, it says it's willing to postpone the closure.
Originally, the plan was to close the Post Office in August - that will now happen in December if business doesn't improve.
Phill Downs of Ellan Vannin Fuels is urging Foxdale residents and those in the surrounding area to use it.
