There has been four incidents involving sheep recorded on the MER.
That's according to information released in response to a FOI request last month.
The request asked for details about sheep escaping their fields and getting onto the Manx Electric Railway, particularly around Baldrine.
In March last year, staff were called to remove sheep on the line and to inspect fencing.
Then in August staff were called to sheep on the tracks at Ballabeg - but the next day the animals were found to have found another route to escape.
However, the next day sheep were found to have used another escape route which had to be repaired after more of the animals were found on the line.
Then in January 2020, sheep had to be herded up and put back into their field.
Further repairs were made in May and since then, there have been no recorded incidents of sheep on the rails at Ballabeg.
