A former TT ace has been jailed for a number of years after being found guilty of sexually abusing a young girl over a period of seven years, more than three decades ago.
Former pro racer Michael Moreton of Worcester abused the girl until she finally ran away from home at the age of 16.
His offending began when his wife was in hospital in 1976 having a baby, he pleaded guilty to eleven charges of indecent assault, and one of indecency with a child.
He was sentenced to six and a half years and told he must serve at least two thirds of the sentence.
