The former landlord of a Douglas pub has appeared in court charged with stealing over £4,000 of takings.
37-year-old Mark Steven Rowe, who now lives in Hemel Hempstead, denied two offences of theft at an appearance at Douglas Courthouse this week.
He allegedly stole the money whilst working at The Railway on North Quay between November 11th and 17th last year.
He also pleaded not guilty to converting a sum of the money by putting it in his bank account on or about November 15th.
The court was told the cash was the property of Heron and Brearley.
Committal proceedings - where the case is elevated to the Court of General Gaol Delivery - will take place on June 20th; he's been bailed until that date.
