A former Premiership footballer has admitted drink-driving in Sulby.
Richard William Holden of Magher Drine in Peel appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The 57 year old pleaded guilty to drink-driving on Main Road in Sulby on October 12.
The court heard police stopped Holden at around 9.40pm when they saw his Vauxhall Astra had problems with its lights.
When he was stopped, officers smelled alcohol and at police headquarters he turned out to be more than three and a half times the legal limit.
Magistrates asked for pre-sentencing reports to be prepared and bailed Holden in the sum of £250 to appear in court again on February 3 next year.
