Former Mayor Wanting to Return to Politics
Former Douglas Mayor Dot Pitts has stated her intent to return to politics.
It all stems from yesterday’s MLC election, which saw MHK Phil Braidwood get into the Legislative Council, if Councillor Cain is successful in filling Braidwood’s vacancy then Dot Pitts will run for his former seat in the Derby Ward.
Mrs Pitts has previously been a Councillor for St George’s ward but says she is undaunted by the prospect of contesting a new one.
