One of the Island's former national poets has won big in a top UK quiz show.
Boakesey Closs took home £25,000 after winning Beat the Chasers on ITV.
She wants to use some of it to send her best friend Helen on a holiday she missed out on due to Covid-19.
The Manx Bard organisation describes Boakesey as a true champion both in poetry and in life.
Boakesey was the ninth person to serve as Manx Bard.
