Brit Romcom to Film On Island
After a lengthy period of inactivity the word from Cannes film festival is that, a top UK Comedy will begin filming on the Island this summer.
Decoy Bride will star former Dr Who, David Tennant, aswell as fellow Scot and star of Trainspotting Kelly McDonald.
The film is being touted as a British Romcom that will rival Four Weddings and a Funeral.
It will shoot both in Scotland and on the Island. Scottish Films and Cinemanx have been confirmed as the backers and distributors.
According to film maker Hanway Films shooting will commence on the Island in June, they’re expected to be here for 5 weeks, with the cream of both the British acting and writing crop involved it could be the kick-start the Island’s film industry has needed.
It’s being directed by Sheree Folkson whose credits include Ugly Betty and Casanova.
Although there is no official news on a release date it is likely to be around this time next year.
