Forensic testing will be carried out before the case against an alleged drug dealer from Douglas can progress.
20-year-old Vincent Sims, of Tynwald Terrace, appeared at Douglas Courthouse on Tuesday.
He's accused of possessing heroin, cannabis bush and cannabis resin with intent to supply on January 12th.
The court heard police believe the substances - which have been sent to the UK for testing - have a street value of around £20,000.
An application for bail was refused and he was remanded at the Isle of Man Prison until his next court appearance on February 19th.
