One of the most notable changes on the Island brought about;
in part due to the VAT increase is the rise in petrol prices.
Motorists have seen the price of unleaded petrol shoot to 132.9
pence per litre over night, with a significant leap in Diesel prices also.
This has led to prices reaching their highest levels since August 2008.
The cost comparison between here and the UK still remains the same however as they have had to implement the same increases.
