A coastal footpath in the south of the island has been closed after a sea wall was damaged in high winds.
The department of infrastructure said a section of a public footpath on Beach Road in Port St Mary has been closed with immediate effect.
It comes after a sea wall was damaged during coastal overtopping yesterday.
The route is closed from its junction with Beach Road, to a point adjacent to Gansey Cottage.
A spokesman said it's expected to remain closed for at least a week.
