The Folk Gallery at the Manx Museum is 'no longer fit for purpose', according to Enterprise Minister, Laurence Skelly MHK.
He was asked in Tynwald this week by Arbory, Castletown & Malew MHK, Jason Moorhouse, if he would make a statement on the decision by Manx National Heritage to remove the exhibition from the venue.
However, Mr Skelly says the displays have been 3D scanned to be part of a digital archive and ideas to relocate some of its elements to other sites are being looked at.
The gallery is expected to make way for a new TT installation - thousands of residents have signed a recent petition to keep the display.
