Flooding shuts off much of Laxey

Laxey has been flooded - again.

The Main Road through the village has been closed due to the heavy rains overnight.

Police say some areas are totally impassable and are asking people to avoid the village unless absolutely necessary.

Emergency services, Civil Defence and the Department of Infrastructure are working to alleviate the problems.

The A3 Main Road near the Sulby Hotel is also blocked at the moment due to a fallen tree.
