Divers will be assessing the Ben-my-Chree this morning after rope became tangled around both of the vessel’s propellers last night.
It forced the cancellation of both the 7.45pm and 2.15am sailings.
Passengers were moved onto an additional Manannan service instead.
The Steam Packet Company says it hopes the diving team will be able to clear the fishing rope after which normal service will be resumed.
Passengers due to travel this morning have been asked to check in as normal.
