Anglers are being reminded to ensure they have the right licenses for river fishing.
The recent heavy rainfall is good news for the fishermen who will be out to catch salmon and sea trout in October.
However any angler found without a valid license may face prosecution and a hefty fine plus the risk of being disqualified from fishing for a period of at least a year.
River fishermen are also reminded that the season for brown trout will end on 30th September to protect the species during the spawning season.
