Contentious divorces fell by 86 per cent last year - when no-fault divorces were introduced.
Figures in the General Registry's annual report show in 2022, 216 divorce applications were made.
That figure fell to just 30 in 2023.
The first year of no-fault divorces, where couples don't have to give grounds, saw 172 applications made.
