The first of new horse tram tracks have been laid on Douglas Prom.
The old lines were ripped out as part of an ongoing £20 million regeneration scheme.
The works are expected to take three years to complete.
The new lines have been put down at the Strathallan end of the prom - and will link to the Broadway junction as the work continues.
It comes as the horse trams are due to start running again in four weeks time.
