The Infrastructure Department have met with the Steam Packet in what they’ve said is the first step in what will be a very long process.
They’ll also need to consult with all other harbour users.
Some of the early suggestions include an extension to the existing marina.
Given the current tough financial situation faced by Government it’s thought work on such a scheme wouldn’t get underway for some years.
