Road Warnings - Mountain Road Closed
The Island is experiencing its first significant snowfall of the Winter today with numerous disruptions and warnings going out this morning.
The Mountain Road has now been closed due to heavy snow and ice.
The emergency services joint control room have issued a warning to motorists that the roads in Ballamodha, Santon, from Castletown to Ballakaighan, Willaston, Onchan Richmond Hill and Johnny Watterson’s lane are currently particulary bad.
The buses are now running to schedule and it's been confirmed that the schools will be opening as normal.
The bus that came to be stuck on Johnny Watterson’s lane has since been moved out of the way of traffic.
There’s now widespread rain across the Island which is thought will clear a lot of the snow.
