The first person on the Island to be charged under new domestic abuse laws has been remanded in custody.
Charlotte Rebecca Dougherty of Ballachrink Drive in Onchan appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The 40 year old is accused of domestic abuse under the Domestic Abuse Act 2020, and one count of assault.
She denies both allegations, and was remanded to the Isle of Man Prison until her next appearance on April 13.
