The new Isle of Man Ferry Terminal in Liverpool has officially opened with the first passengers passing through.
Yesterday’s Manannan sailing from Douglas at 3 pm arrived at the new 2,550 square metre facility at 1 Triskelion Way on Prince’s Half Tide Dock.
It has 1,145m of vehicle lanes and can fit up to 1,000 passengers in the building itself.
Infrastructure Minister Tim Crookall MHK was in the city to meet with the Lord Mayor of Liverpool, Councillor Richard Kemp CBE and representatives from Peel Waters and the Steam Packet Company.
Mr Crookall said the building marks a significant moment in the Island’s maritime history.
