The first new seal pups of the year have been spotted on the Calf of Man.
Manx Wildlife Trust says now that the seal pupping season has begun, more of the young animals will be appearing across the Islands coasts over the coming months.
As a result, the trust is reiterating the rules people must follow if they see any of the little creatures whilst out and about.
They include if you see a seal pup to not approach it and keep dogs on a lead at all times - adding the mothers will often leave their youngsters alone for hours and return for them but could abandon them if they feel threatened.
Also, young seals with darker coats that have their own spots have been weaned but may haul up to rest and these shouldn't be approached either.
Meanwhile, MWT says it has a dedicated team of seal sitters who can observe the creatures from a distance in public places to make sure they aren't disturbed.
The organisation asks if anyone sees a seal pup on a very public beach or public place or believes the animal is injured or sick, to contact 568 726 or 450 879.
