Could passengers set sail on the Manxman as early as next Thursday?
In a statement released this afternoon, the Steam Packet has confirmed 'its intention' to operation the vessel's first service on August 17.
It's expected to set sail from Douglas to Heysham at 8.45am, returning at 2.15pm.
The company says from Thursday, passengers should be able to enjoy a new children’s play area, enhanced retail spaces, café, eatery and bar and lounges.
Initially, the Manxman will only embark upon day-time sailings, before swapping over to nights mid-September.
