First Aer Lingus flight leaves Ronaldsway

(L-r) Aer Arann’s marketing manager Sinead Murphy and Isle of Man Airport director Anne Reynolds with Aer Lingus Regional cabin crew member Kitty Dillon.

The first official Aer Lingus Regional flight took off from Ronaldsway to Dublin yesterday.

With the new Aer Lingus service, Manx passengers will benefit from connectivity on all of the airline’s flights through Dublin, offering access to major European destinations such as Amsterdam, Paris, Brussels and Rome and also transatlantic connectivity to New York, Boston, Chicago and Orlando.

Passengers here will now also benefit from US Customs and Immigrations pre-clearance facilities at Dublin Airport that will allow them to arrive in the US as domestic passengers, which will save considerable on security clearances.
