Firefighters are urging people to make sure they have working smoke alarms after a blaze in Laxey.
Crews from Laxey and Douglas raced to the scene on Wheel Hill after neighbours heard an alarm and dialled 999.
Investigations are continuing but it's thought the fire in an upstairs bedroom was caused by an electrical fault.
Nobody was hurt, but the Island's Fire and Rescue Service says it highlights the importance of having working smoke alarms.
