Firefighters were forced to close a road in Kirk Michael yesterday so they could tackle a hedge fire.
Bollyn Road was closed at 2pm to ensure the safety of the fire crews and passing motorists.
The fire was brought under control in an hour – no damage was caused to boundary fences or livestock in the adjoining fields.
