Firefighters tackled a lift fire at a building in Douglas yesterday.
Teams were called to Hillary House on Prospect Hill just before 4.40pm on Wednesday.
Crews located the flames on the roof of the lift car on the fourth floor and used carbon dioxide and powder extinguishers to neutralize it.
A hose reel was then used to damp down the area - crews remained on scene for around 40 minutes to clear smoke from the staircase.
