Firefighters have thanked members of the public who helped at the scene of a large fire this morning.
They were called out at 9.45am after a commercial unit on the Hills Meadow Industrial Estate caught fire.
The blaze – which was described as ‘rapidly developing’ - was contained and extinguished before any neighbouring properties were affected.
The fire was confined to an area near to an industrial unit which contained a large amount of rubbish and numerous vehicles – no one was injured.
