An Island firefighter will be taking part in a fitness competition whilst wearing full gear, including breathing apparatus and oxygen tank.
Daniel Maddocks plans to complete a hyrox event in Manchester, a race which combines running with workouts like sled pushing and ski training machines.
The Ramsey fireman has already raised over £550 for Macmillan Cancer Support, the Fire Fighters Charity and the Great North Air Ambulance Service.
