Police say they've been put under 'great pressure' by people failing to renew their firearms licences.
Nearly 1,000 forms, which are updated every three years, have been sent out to people - they were supposed to be returned by February 28th.
Officers need to issue new certificates by April 1st and are now urging people to make it a priority to send back their documentation.
Anyone who needs assistance is asked to contact the Firearms Team on 631402.
