The Fire and Rescue Service is urging the public to think carefully before parking or turning around outside fire stations.
It says there have been repeated incidents where cars have blocked fire engine bays or used forecourts as turning circles.
The emergency service pointed to a recent case at Douglas Fire Station where a locked car was left blocking a bay - while the owner went to collect people from a nearby restaurant.
A spokesperson for the service says a few minutes of convenience for one person could cost precious time in an emergency for someone else.
