Fire crews will be out an about across the Island this week, but not where you would expect to see them. They're going to be working along side mobile libraries.
The Fire and Rescue Service’s Community Safety advisors are taking vital and potentially life-saving information to people who may not be aware of it.
They want to reach out to vulnerable members of communities by travelling all around the Island.
The idea is for the officers to be available to anyone who wants to take advantage of a free Home Safety Visit or just to have a chat about any general safety advice that is relevant to them.
For the remainder of this week and again in mid October firefighters will accompany the Mobile Library team around the Island.
