Douglas fire crews were mobilised to tackle a large gorse fire in the early hours of the morning.
Firefighters were called to the scene near Port Grenaugh beach at 3:20am where two off-road vehicles and a water bowser were dispatched to the blaze.
It took crews around four hours to dampen down the area, the fire service believe the fire was caused by careless disposal of a single use barbeque.
The fire service is reminded anyone using flammable items in hot and dry weather to dispose of them safely.
