Fire Crews from Peel and Kirk Michael were called out to a house fire in Market Street Peel yesterday afternoon.
Upon arrival it was thought there was still a child in the property, however this proved not to be the case with everyone having been safely evacuated from the building.
Crews went on to extinguish the fire using a Hose reel, staying on for two hours cutting away, and making the property safe.
It is believed that the cause of the fire was a cigarette.
Station Officer Carl Kinvig said, it is important that smoking materials are extinguished properly, and you have working smoke alarms within your property.
