Fire crews were dispatched to deal with a garage fire in
Douglas late last night.

They promptly dealt with the fire that was confined to the
garage, although there was some smoke damage to the lower floor of the house.
The fire stemmed from an electrical extension reel, the
public are reminded to ensure extension reels are unwound when not in use to
prevent a build up of heat.
