Fire crews from around the Island were out in force last night dealing with a barn fire on the Ballaugh/Druidale Road.
Fire crews from around the Island were out in force last night dealing with a barn fire on Druidale Road in Ballaugh.Teams from the Kirk Michael, Ramsey and Douglas stations arrived at the barn at around 7.15pm to find a well developed blaze.
It involved a large amount of pea hay and some cattle had to be moved away from the danger.
Firefighters brought the fire under control two hours later after water was ferried to the scene in a relay of fire vehicles.
Crews then remained on site for a further four hours.
There were no reported injuries, with fire investigators back on the scene this morning to try and ascertain the cause.
