Firefighters were called out in the south of the Island at the weekend - after someone started a bonfire and left it.
The incident happened at Oatlands quarry in Ballasalla on Friday evening.
The Fire and Rescue Service says the fire was abandoned after it started raining.
And it's appealing for people to call the emergency services so there are no false alarm calls.
