Ramsey Fire crews were called to a chimney fire yesterday evening.
Two engines attended the property and quickly determined that the smoke logged house had a significantly blocked chimney.
Using breathing apparatus the crews extinguished the fire using a high pressure hose reel, with a bailey ladder used to access the roof as the chimney was also capped.
In total they were in attendance for one hour and thirty minutes.
If you have a real fire you're urged to ensure your chimney is well swept and clear as we move into the winter months.
