A Douglas woman has been fined £100 after attempting to break an order banning her from buying alcohol.
46-year-old Denise Elizabeth Watterson, of Mona Street, entered the Co-op on Prospect Terrace on January 20th.
She tried to buy eight cans of Guinness and a bottle of wine but was stopped by staff that recognised her.
At Douglas Courthouse last week Watterson pleaded guilty to attempting to breach a licensing ban which was put in place in September last year.
Her advocate told the court it was a "genuine" mistake on her part and said she had offered to put the items back and was "fully cooperative".
Sentencing Watterson Magistrates also ordered her to pay court costs of £50.
