A taxi driver from Douglas has been fined after being caught with an out-of-date tax disc.
38-year-old Martin Conde Moore, of Port-E-Chee Avenue, admitted having no vehicle licence during a court appearance earlier this week.
Police spotted his vehicle whilst at the Sea Terminal on March 6th - checks revealed the tax ran out in December last year.
Moore, who represented himself in court, told Magistrates it had "totally escaped his attention" because his mother had been ill adding "needless to say I wasn't exactly on the ball".
Magistrates fined him £150 and ordered him to pay £50 in costs.
