A Douglas man has been fined after being caught with just over one gram of cannabis.
22-year-old Jake Douglas Rhodes, of Westbourne Drive, had the Class B drug in his possession when police stopped him on September 8th .
At Douglas Courthouse last week he admitted the offence telling Magistrates: "I’m sorry - I won’t do it again."
Rhodes was stopped at The Milestone Garage on Peel Road after a police officer spotted a problem with his lights - his vehicle was searched and the drug recovered.
Rhodes also admitted having no vehicle licence for the car adding: "I hadn’t got round to it."
Magistrates fined Rhodes £250 and ordered him to pay £50 in prosecution costs.
