New financial sanctions against two Russian businessmen have been announced by the Treasury in the wake of the invasion of Ukraine.
Igor Ivanovich Shuvalov amd Alisher Burkhanovich Usmanov are now subject to an asset freeze.
Mr Shuvalov headed Russia's World Cup bid and press reports once claimed he flew his wife's dogs to shows in a £38 million private jet.
Mr Usmanov, meanwhile, is worth more than £14 billion and owns USM Holdings and Megafon, which were sponsors of Everton Football Club until the premiership side cut ties with them this week.
