Ronaldsway Airport recorded a 13 per cent increase in passenger traffic last month.
Over 8,000 more passengers traveled through the airport compared to August last year.
It means more than 72,000 people used the airport.
The North West and London routes dominated the growth with each area increasing by around 5,000 passengers.
However there was a drop in traffic on both the Blackpool and Luton routes
